Spring Home Maintenance: 10 Tasks Every Colorado Homeowner Should Tackle
Spring along the Front Range is one of my favorite times of year. The snow starts to melt, the days get longer, and it's the perfect time to get outside and see how your home weathered another Colorado winter. After 10 years in the trades, I can tell you this: the homeowners who tackle maintenance in spring almost always avoid the expensive emergency calls in summer and fall.

1. Clean Your Gutters and Downspouts
This is number one for a reason. Colorado winters leave behind a mess, ice, leaves, pine needles, and debris that clog your gutters and prevent proper drainage. When gutters don't drain, water backs up against your fascia, gets under your shingles, and can even flood your basement.
